Frequently using some important tools through the menu bar is really a long process and time consuming too. There is a way in Adobe Acrobat to rapidly access important features on your documents. You can drag them on the main window of Acrobat, so that the work doesn’t become tedious. You can also hide them to avail a larger view of your working window.

Let’s take a look at this process:

  1. Open Adobe Acrobat X on your computer and navigate to View on the top of the menu.

  2. Now, when the drop-down list opens on the screen, click Show/Hide toolbars.

  3. Choose the toolbar which you want to see on the software screen, such as Advanced Search. Once you select it, the toolbar will be visible, drag and drop it to the appropriate location. The best option will be to drag the toolbar onto an empty area beneath the menu bar so that it can link with the Acrobat window.

  4. If you have version 9 or older than this then, the user can undock a toolbar from the software window by going to the far left of the window and dragging the toolbar to the desired location. However, in Version 10, you cannot find this docking.

  5. Hide/View options: Go to View tab on the top of the menu and make sure that the Lock Toolbars is deselected.

  6. Click on Toolbars button to automatically dock all floating toolbars which are present and click on the Dock option.

  7. To hide the strips of all the icons and to access the full window of the Adobe Acrobat, click on View and select Hide option for it. Alternatively, pressing F8 key will do the same.
